Both courses offer the exact same B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree. The main differences are:

  • Fee Structure: Regular fee is approx ₹10,400/year, while Self-Financed is approx ₹40,500/year.
  • Timings: Regular batch classes are typically held in the morning/afternoon, while Self-Financed classes are usually held in the afternoon/evening.
  • Cutoffs: The cutoff for the Self-Financed program is slightly lower than the Regular program.

Yes, there is a penalty for wrong answers. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. It is highly advised by Legit Prep experts not to blind guess. Make calculated guesses only if you can eliminate at least two options.

No. Jamia Millia Islamia does not accept CLAT scores. It conducts its own independent, university-level offline entrance examination for admission into the B.A. LL.B. program.

Being a minority institution, JMI has specific reservations:
  • 30% for Muslim applicants
  • 10% for Muslim Women applicants
  • 10% for Muslim OBC/ST applicants
  • 5% for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
  • Internal Jamia candidates and candidates from Jammu & Kashmir/Kashmiri Migrants also have special reservations.
